In addition to being a tutor for Mathematics, Physics, and Literature, I had some professional teaching experiences in university.
Hydraulics and Pneumatics
This subject covers basic concepts of fluid power systems. The main topics covered throughout this course are: basics of hydraulics and pneumatics, pumps and compressors, valves, actuators, ancillary devices, and hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-pneumatic circuits’ analysis and design.
At completing this course the student should be able to:
Understanding the basic concepts hydraulic and pneumatic control;
Understanding the different types and components of hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
Understanding the design concepts of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits and their maintenance.
Textbooks:
Michael J. Pinches, John G. Ashby, “Power Hydraulics”, Longman Higher Education, 1988.
This subject covers basic concepts of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). A programmable logic controllers (PLC) is a real-time system optimized for use in severe conditions such as high/low temperatures or an environment with excessive electrical noise. This control technology is designed to have multiple interfaces (I/Os) to connect and control multiple mechatronic devices such as sensors and actuators.
The main topics covered through out this course are: logic control, logic operation and gates, an introduction to PLCs, PLC’s programming, ladder programing, PLC’s timer and counter, and PLC programming software. PLC’s programming is based on Siemense S7-300 and S7-400 PLCs, and Delta PLC. Delta WPLSoft discusses as the major for ladder programming, and Siemense STEP 7 SIMATIC Manager software for implementing S7-300/S7-400.
